A circuit, what is it...?

Hello World! & Welcome to Arturo G´s Blog of Navigation Systems Subject.

In the 1st part of our "Circuit Analysis" we will start defining what a circuit is and what are the main circuit symbols of our future wonderful electrical construction. Then...

Here we go!

Part 1: The circuit, definiton & main circuit symbols

Definition:

An electronic circuit is a connection of individual electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors and inductors, through conductive wires. In a circuit the electric current can flow, but to make it work we need to feed the circuit and assure it is closed.

Explanation:

The explanation of a circuit is as simple as we need, for example, turn on a lamp, because we need some light, or use a heater (that use resistors), because we are very cold at home and we need more temperature, but what do we need to perform this action? The answer is that we have to build and electronic circuit, using wires that led the current (from a baterry for example) and a power supply to feed that circuit, which makes possible that the lamp or the heater we want use begins to work.

Circuit Symbols:

The main circuit symbols we have to know in order to analyse an electronic circuit are:

Now, and as we know basically what a circuit is (network that leads and transforms the electrical energy in other different types of energy that we can use at home, as light energy, heat, movement...) and what are the main circuit symbols, we can start with a deeper analysis of a circuit, in paper and the real life. That´s why we are going to begin the next part explaining the "electric magnitudes".

Come with us if you want know more & more!
